Cilicia accuses Acroyear of being a traitor to the planet Spartak for using the worldmind and leaving the planet in ruins. To rescue Commander Rann from his coma, Princess Mari, Bug and Acroyear are transported into his mind by Doc Sampson. They encounter many obstacles in his mind and have to fight to come out alive.
